Whale's Tongue Agave

Product Details
Agave ovatifolia 'Whale’s Tongue' makes a dramatic statement with its broad, powdery blue-gray leaves and naturally sculptural form. Native to the mountainous regions of northeastern Mexico, this distinctive agave forms a symmetrical rosette of thick, gently cupped leaves that can eventually reach an impressive six feet across. Despite its elegant appearance, 'Whale’s Tongue' is remarkably tough, handling intense heat, drought, and colder temperatures better than many agaves. With its bold silhouette and low-maintenance nature, it’s an exceptional choice for xeriscapes, rock gardens, contemporary landscapes, and other spaces where architectural foliage takes center stage.
Our plants are propagated via tissue culture, a clonal process that results in true to type, disease-free plants that are grown on their own roots. They have been grown in ellepots to promote healthy root development.
