Furcraea macdougalii, or MacDougall's Century Plant, is a striking succulent that forms a tall, trunk-like stem crowned with long, rigid, blue-green leaves edged in small teeth. Over time, it develops into a dramatic, tree-like rosette reaching up to 18 feet tall, and when mature, it sends up an enormous flower spike that can soar over 20 feet. Its bold form makes it a standout statement plant and focal point in xeriscapes, water-wise gardens, desert landscapes, and low-maintenance landscapes alike. Climate-adapted to desert areas and thriving with minimal care, this succulent is a sustainable landscape choice in areas with warmer weather and prone to drought.
