Agave parryi var. truncata, often called Truncata Agave or Artichoke Agave, is a striking compact succulent prized for its symmetry, drought tolerance, and icy blue-gray foliage. Native to northern Mexico and the American Southwest, this variety was selected for its truncated, wide-leafed form that gives it a sculptural, almost geometric presence in the garden. Our plants are propagated via tissue culture, a clonal process that results in true to type, disease-free plants that are grown on their own roots. They have been grown in ellepots to promote healthy root development.
Planting & Care
These are starter plants - they are very young, and will require special care to thrive. They have been raised in a greenhouse, and will need to be acclimated to their new home upon arrival.
Truncata Agave generally grow best in full sun. However, in areas where summers are harsh, they prefers partial shade.
