These low-maintenance plants thrive in well lit indoor spaces, whether in direct or bright indirect light. Their upright growth makes them ideal for adding height, filling empty corners, or serving as bold statement pieces. Their vibrant variegated foliage adds a tropical touch to any home, office, or patio. In Zones 9-11 they can be grown outdoors and reach much larger sizes than when kept indoors. Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana‘ (a.k.a. ‘Moonshine‘): a highly variegated plant where each leaf is unique, with creamy-green leaves liberally streaked, splashed, and speckled in olive green and cream. New leaves often have a pinkish coloring, adding complexity and beauty to this rubber tree.
Growth rate: Slow-Moderate
Mature size: 4-7 ft tall, 2-3 ft wide

Ficus elastica ‘Tineke‘: a newer cultivar with a striking tri-color variegation. This rubber plant showcases variegated green and white leaves with burgundy overtones. The ovate leaves tend to have a splotchy variegation of light green, cream, and even some pink, and the sheath at the top of the stem is a deep burgundy-red color.

Mature size: 4-9 ft tall, 2-3 ft wide

Ficus elastica ‘Ruby‘: a variegated version of the Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy‘, the variegation on Ruby varies from pink-tinged cream to an almost glowing coral-pink. New growth comes through in an intense pink-orange shade. This beautiful cultivar has large, elliptical leaves that emerge from a red sheath at the tip of the branches.
Growth rate: Moderate-Fast
Mature size: 6-10 ft tall, 2-3 ft wide
